One of my favourite constellations. I only use bins for sky watching as it is a new hobby and Orion always reminds me of an explosion with the four main stars around the belt shooting out! It kind of leaps out at you. Well I think it is quite impressive......

It is Rider!

And it's nicely placed now!

I haven't met anyone who isn't impressed with the constellation shape, M42 through bins and all those wonderful DSO's contained within.

Wonderful guide Carlos. Can I put a link to it on the EAAS forum? If yes? will the images show automatically or would people have to log in to see them?

Hi Mia.

Thanks for the kind comments, and yup, the images will show to everyone including non-members.
(I deliberately used an off-site image host, so they would show up for everyone)

Carlos, as always you're a gent!

Can I link the others as they come into use? (so worried about copyright etc!!) It could be a wee feature on our forum and as I said it will be a link to here so you may get more of the EAAS crowd on here....... is that a plus point?

Don't answer that!!

Thanks for this information it is fantastic, just the sort of thing I can print off and take out with me. There is so much to help get the best from each constellation. Wish I hadn't bothered with a goto mount now as no need with this sort of detail available! Much better than any book I've seen - would make a great book though. sunny
